With the summer heatwave beaming down upon our seated decking area, today may well be the perfect day to serve up this week’s delicious sun-infused specials.
As usual our chefs have been getting creative in the kitchen, preparing a refreshing sweet tomato and roasted red pepper gazpacho – the perfect Spanish cool down dish. As we’re sweltering in this beautiful weather it would be rude to indulge, no?
Our chefs have been creating wonders in the kitchen and this southern Spanish spring dish is no exception. Served over the weekend it got some pretty outstanding reviews from our customers and we thought we would share.
Spanish Ibérico ham is known as the best in the world as the pigs are acorn fed and the meat is of incredible quality. Continue reading →
St Valentine’s Day will soon be upon us and we couldn’t resist using the heart-shaped Coeur de Neufchâtel cheese from Normandie in a special sharing platter shown below.
Treat yourself to a whole-baked Neufchâtel brie, served with a pot of truffle honey, cabernet sauvignon reduction, home-made tomato crostini and a pickled walnut salad.
This soft matured gourmet delight tastes wonderful with a rich red wine or alternatively cider. We’ve created this specially for Valentine’s Day so come down with your friends or your other half and enjoy this dish!
Brunch is the type of the meal you want on a lazy Saturday or Sunday whilst you read the newspapers and relax. Perfect at any time of the day, the best brunches are those which are drawn-out and full of delicious dishes such as our corned beef hash with homemade baked beans and poached egg topped with hollandaise sauce – scrumptious!
One of our favourite January dishes is our braised pigs’ cheek with seared West Coast scallops and pigs’ trotter stuffed with Stornoway black pudding on a bed of cauliflower purée.
The pairing of the tender and richness of the pork is complemented beautifully with the light and sweet texture of the scallops. It’s a dish which we first served at our Hogmanay Feast of Meats celebration evening and have since been asked by you, our customers to serve again.
We would also recommend a glass of the dry and well-balanced Hungarian Furmint Royal Tokaji white wine which leaves hints of spicy oak and lemon flavours on the palate and is the perfect partner for this dish.
Six days until Christmas is upon us, and if you’re facing the prospect of the dreaded last minute rush for presents then fear not….we’ve got you covered! Why not treat your loved one to a delectable meal here at The Butchershop with one of our gift vouchers, a fantastic present and fitting for any budget. Just phone one of our staff on 0141 339 2999 to arrange a gift voucher and take the hassle out of battling Buchanan Street.
Lunch is a very important time of the day and it should be enjoyed. We’ve noticed that our customers are busy and that’s why we’ve decided to create an express lunch menu which can be pre-ordered in advance or just relished on the day.
